What clients ask before arranging treatment in another country
How does medical tourism with Delegata actually work?
It runs in seven steps: you enquire, book a 30-minute consultation, pay the consultation fee, a physician reviews your case, you receive curated hospital and surgeon options, you confirm an all-inclusive plan, and we coordinate travel, visa, admission, interpretation and recovery. You deal with one point of contact throughout.
How much does it cost?
Two fees, always separate from medical costs. The consultation fee starts at AED 300 and is credited toward the arrangement fee if you proceed. The arrangement fee is case-based and confirmed in writing before any payment. Treatment itself is quoted by the hospital, in writing, before you travel.
How long does it take to get treatment options?
Usually a few working days after the consultation. The physician needs your recent records, imaging and test results to review the case properly. Once that review is done, you get a shortlist of hospitals and surgeons with indicative pricing and timelines rather than one take-it-or-leave-it referral.
Do you arrange visas, flights and accommodation?
Yes. Travel, visa support, airport transfers, hospital admission, interpretation, accommodation for you and anyone travelling with you, and the recovery stay afterwards are all part of the coordination. The intent is that you arrive with nothing left to organise.
What treatments can you arrange?
Oncology, cardiology, orthopaedics, IVF and fertility, bariatric and metabolic surgery, ophthalmology, hair restoration, plastic and reconstructive surgery, diagnostics and executive health checks, and residential mental health and addiction care. Our destination pages list the specific treatment areas available in each country.
What happens when I get home?
The treating hospital issues a discharge summary and a follow-up plan, and Delegata keeps the records, relays questions to the surgeon and helps arrange local follow-up where you live. Aftercare is coordinated rather than handed back to you at the airport.
Is it safe to be treated abroad?
It depends entirely on where and with whom. Our partner hospitals are internationally accredited and the surgeons are chosen for their volume in the specific procedure, not for convenience. A physician reviews your case before any destination is proposed, and if travel is the wrong answer we say so.
